My Pc’s have shared folders containing Music and Films. These are accessible using the homegroup as they are windows 7. I cannot see the Playbook from the PC.
I can copy files singularly from one folder to another on the playbook.
I can see the ip addresses of each PC, mobile and playbook from the router status screen on PC. but nothing comes up in the search on the playbook.
I have a suspicion that its the lack of permission in the playbook applications permission settings. on installation all access was granted but even after a hard reset this app is not in the list.

Let’s start working with your windows7 machine. Knowing that you have visibility between all the devices.
Can you access your shared folders in this windows7 machine from other PC’s?
To test, try to shutdown windows firewall (you can enable it later again).
Are you using a privileged user?
Yes I can reach my files on the windows 7 pc on the other pc’s and visa versa. I also can reach the files on the windows 7 machine on my tablet using net share file explorer. I like can also reach the windows xp pc, from both I can transfer files with nsfe. These pc’s are found by search. But I can’t reach the fileserver on my modem. A Arcadean VGV7519, I can reach the fileserver on all my windows pc’s.I am administrator on all my pc’s.in the firewall I make a rule so I can reach the pc’s on the tablet.
I think I have now undestood.
You want to connect from your tablet to your servers from outside your network through your broadband line and your modem.
Is it right?
I think we don’t understood each other, the modem has ip 192.168.2.254, the ip adres off the server is 192.168.2.253, ip adres windows 7 pc is 192.168.2.1, the Window xp pc is 192.168.2.2, the ip off the tablet is 192.168.2.10. I like to connect at home, not from somewhere else. All these devices are in the same network, am I right?
Yes using homegroup shares.
File sharing settings for public and other files is non passworded.
2 main reasons i need this is to be able to send photos from mobile to playbook because for some reason they disable bluetooth transfers to non blackberry phones. Also sending files to PC for printing. The streaming access to my files would be a bonus.

For discard potencial issues, ¿can you try adding a new user with admin rights and with password?
