    Hello,

    I copied a file from a smb share to /accounts/1000/shared/videos and when trying to open the video player I don’t see it but when using the file explorer I can but it tells me the permissions aren’t correct.

    I’m assuming the android player uses a different account than native apps so if possible when copying you may need to set file permissions to make it accessible to all users.

    This app is crap. Cannot connect to win XP machine. Tried with admin creds for the box and tried anonomous. How can i get my money back?

    @Adrian.TO,

    how long are we talking about? Keep in mind that it depends on your wifi network, traffic on it, etc…

    Isn’t it slow when accessing from other computers?

    In my network it takes about 1sec.

    @Pepper,
    Very strange. I’ve made your test and it works fine for me. It might be related to original permissions.

    What kind of share are you accessing (win, linux, mac)?
    Which are file permissions in the original filesystem?

  5. Editor says:

    @H Morgan,

    Can you access your shares from another computer?

    Anyway, regarding refunds, you sould talk to AppWorld customer care, they have your money, not me.

    I have just uploaded a new release with copy full folders feature. It should be approved from within two days 🙂

    I’m accessing shares on ubuntu 10.10. The files are permissioned to the same account I am accessing the share as.

  8. Pepper says:

    The permissions on the source file say read only for others as well. Are you aware of a file explorer thatni can use to check?

  9. Editor says:

    @Pepper,

    Please, try new version just released. It should set read/write permissions for every copied file.

    Let me know if it works now.

    Hello,
    I cannot get this to connect to any of my windows computers or see any of my drives. I have tried logging in using my user credentials and as admin to no avail. What could i be doing wrong? DO you have an instruction set somewhere?

  13. Editor says:

    @Bryan,
    Thanks for your feedback.

    Do you get access to shared folders between your PC’s?
    What operating system are they running?

  14. Martin Bartlett says:

    Hey, having some issues finding the right syntax for setting up the share. I have BB1 OS 2.0.1.358

    My SMB drive is plugged into my router via USB and has been setup and successfully accessed on my PC’s and Macs.

    I get a exception error dump when attempting to connect – and I have tried the //IP Address and //HOSTNAME for the router. It works on everything except my PB via this app.
